Glasgow Parkour Coaching was formed in early 2008 to meet the demand for professional and safe instruction of Parkour and has been absolutely fundamental in the growth of Parkour in Scotland, having worked on workshops from down in Dumfries and the Borders all the way to The Shetland Isles giving GPC a truly national remit.
Chris Grant (who runs GPC) is the Scottish representative and board member of ParkourUK Ė Parkourís National Governing Body and a number of the GPC coaches hold the ADAPT qualification for Coaching Parkour/Free-Running and all are insured and disclosure checked.
Since itís inception the team has worked across a number of environments delivering workshops for primary and high schools, community groups, arts projects, city festivals and PR events as well as setting up a number of regular indoor and outdoor classes all over Scotland.
This includes hosting the First National Scottish Gathering - Roots of Movement which sold out and attracted over 150 traceurs from around the country.
As well as coaching regular Parkour Classes, the group has experience in choregraphing performance and working with Theatre and Arts organisations.
GPC have provided performers and coaches for events like the Merchant City Festival and have instructed on a number National Theatre of Scotland's projects
and with the Scottish Ballet.
They have also advised and been involved in exhibitions on various architecture projects including number of youth education programmes related to the Commonwealth Games 2014.
